I spent seven hours at garage kwai while they tried to install aem ps and alt pulleys on my ride. I'm really tired from 6 hours driving and 7 hours install time. Man I was so bored and to top it off I had to drive back in a snowstorm.
An alternator bolt broke because it was put on too tight (from the factory?) so they spent hours trying to fix and mod it with parts from old alternators. Man finally they finished and I could drive home.
REVIEW:
First off, I haven't had too much time to test yet and maybe the ecu is adjusting. But on the way back, it felt alot different. Accelerating from a stop was improved throughout the rpm band (faster revs) and throttle response went up as well. I don't know why some of you are saying there's no difference. Maybe I have an auto and it's more noticable, but this mod should be right up there with intake.

And I forgot to mention, there is no decrease in performance of steering. Don't know about alternator cause I only have one amp for the speakers. Seems to work fine.

Glad to finally get your review on the pullies gearbox. Glad you like them!
I have a 5 speed LX.... I cant praise the pullies as much as gearbox, but I still give the pullies a positive review. To me, the power gain is not as noticeable as my intake, but my car starts easier (4 or less cranks even in the freezing cold), less noise during driving and idle, and saves weight. Also as gearbox stated, power steering is still there and is the same as stock.
As for installing, a PAIN! It took my brother and I about 5 hours.

Im glad to hear the power steering is the same as stock. I was wanting these, but curious about that. I am constantly in stop and go traffic, so I wouldnt want worse power steering. And Curiousfish, you say 4 or 5 cranks? Mine takes like 2 or 3. I have like 88,000 miles on my car, but starts awesome. Does everybodys car start quicker and easier than before?
edit - my car is much quicker all throughout the RPMs w/o my intake. Maybe a little slower 4-5000? but much quicker overall.

4 cranks when it's below freezing point outside. 2 cranks when it's 45 and up. I dont know though, I seem to be the only person that claims that.
It's good to know that a 7thgen with almost 90k miles can still start up with nooo problem.

Just get synthetic oil 3,000, and dont drive like an as* constantly. I do a lot of the time though. It runs perfect, though. I got a very good one from the factory! I can make it to 200,000 miles easily on this car, I am very confident. Maybe not after nitrous? oh well
It is always like 65+ in the winter, and summer is 120 and below. So its a very warm state. I think summer may take 4 or so cranks actually. Its just been driving and starting up so much nicer since its cooled down some.

My car always starts with three cranks if you let the fuel pump charge first, even in cold weather. It's prolly the ngk iridiums.
reply to pulley difference in a 5speed
Great. Faster revs = quicker to top power. Idles smoother. Starts about the same. Slightly better mileage. Haven't noticed a difference in power steering output and the difference in alternetor output is negligible. Here's a link to the DIY I made: http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=180985
It took me about 2.5 hours with taking photos. I vote it a worthwhile mod.
