Angry Omfg What Is Up With My Car!!!!! UPDATED WITH PICS

well 1 week ago my clutch went out, i got that fixed. well i was in long beach for a study group since i have a final tomorrow or what not. im leaving and going on palo verde towards the 405. im changing geards from 3rd to 4th, not even hard but soft and smoothly when i hear a CRACK and my shiftknob is useless. since i had some momentum i pulled into a parking lot. i started calling my friend to come fix this since this is an emergency. i was using the revo ss btw. i was going to tell him to bring the stock one so we coudl swap it out. well bythis time its 12:00 at night so hes probably sleeping. i call and i call and he not picking up. i didnt want to call my parents cuz they would be pissed so i cut the boot off and the metal bart connecting the shiifter to the rod snapped! WTF ill get pics up soon. i realized that if i push in on the shifter it'll go into 3rd and pull back it'll go into 4th. i put on my hazards and stat from 3rd and get on the freeway. whole time im in 4th on the freeway . and i just got home right now. i have a final tomorrow at 8. how am i going to get to class?!?!?!?!?!

My poor boot

and the rest

That sucks man. You're saying the revo ss itself broke? I've never heard any reports of people breaking their revo. How hard do you shift?
You should hitch a ride from a friend...
Good luck on your final.

that's crazy, I've never heard of that happening before. It wasn't just the pin that broke right? Sorry - I'm trying to get a mental picture here.

To remove the housing, boot, and center silver ring, remove the shift ****, just grasp the 2 notches inside the boot next time and pull up.

Now you're gonna have to dish out extra $ for another boot thingy, not unless you were planning going aftermarket.

Sucks, but i'd like to know what happened...
