2005 si Coupe- Questions on adding horse power

Hey i just bought a new car the other day - traded my 2002 red Dx for a 2005 Black Si Coupe (Canadian 127 hp v-tech) - (not the hatch back its i think the american ex model) - was wondering what is the most horse power you can gain before installing a turbo or - And no stupid responses like do a search of course i can do a search - but i dont have ther time to I am at work, so can some one please help - also what do i need to add to do this - dont need brand names just what the equipement is ie - cold air intake etc ...

Thanks
Dave Lowther

I am guessing you are from Canada.

Minor gain from stock.
5-10whp with bolt ons.

Swap or Turbo is the way to go.

Don't expect much hp. The 1.7L engine is very effecient and was tuned fairly well from the factory.

basically, by the time you spend enough money to make the 1.7 liter go fast, you would have spend way more than a engine swap
