I heard some talk on this web site about losing mpg b.c of heavy rims? Is this true? and if i go from the stock 05 civic ex 15's to some chrome 18 inch mr7's, ABOUT how much will i lose???
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

chrome and 18's? Yeah, that'll drop 3 or 4 mpg under normal driving. If you're a very aggressive driver like my cousin, always hitting VTEC and quickly accelerating and stopping, then you'll go even further below that.

yea you do i notice it a lot i get like 270 with city driving in town with my 17 subzeros, on the highway its maybe 30- 31 mpg , so believe me a lot more happened then just a loss of acceleration
mileage varys by A LOT than just wheels. the climate, shift points(manual), tempeture (i believe almost any car will perform better at night), traffic, highway or city, etc.
the only noticeable difference i would compare with 18s and 15's is acceleration.
