raced a VW jetta

Raced a jetta on the way home from my girlfriends x-mas party 80-100 (I was dd). He started with a 1/2 car on me he held the 1/2 car until 90 and I pulled even and was starting to pull at 100 then my gf made me stop . When I looked in my rear veiw i realized that a taurus was behind us trying to get in on it, he got wasted. I slowed down and he flew past me and caught the jetta and preceaded to get smoke. My girlfriends drunk *** just fell down the stairs so i have to go. ahhh the fun of being a DD

It wasnt a VR6 though was it? If it was a 1.8T, then I'm very impressed, but it sounds like you raced a standard Jetta or a TDI. Stiil, good kill, even though my wife trys to stop my racing too.

nope not my kill his . I stoped and even though I had him at the time I did not have him by enough to call it. Oh well I lover her to death and should not race with her in the car anyway. Not shure what jetta it was though at 100 mph it is good to look at the road.

don't know what one this was, but it was a jetta and it was not faster atleast from 80-100. All I did was run 4th the entire way (can't miss any gears that way )

Oh, I thought when you said you pulled at 100mph, you meant pulled ahead. Still I'd say with your mods, you proabably just raced a standard Jetta. I had a friend in Mayport who had a Golf GTI 1.8T and stock he beat an SE-R SpecV with exhaust.

no I WAS pulling ahead and it would have happened, but we may have been going 120. To tell you truth I would have called it even if my gf did not ask me to that is just way too fast

Couldn't have been a std. Jetta/TDI, the std. Jetta has had the same 115hp 2L for two years now, I know, I used to have a car w. that same engine, those cars are slooow. Half because their engine is terrible, half because they weigh 3000lbs.

Can't imagine what else it would have been, the 1.8Ts are pretty fast as are the VR6s, I can't think of any VWs greater than the 2.0L/TDI that a Civic would pull on, except maybe an Si.

I don't know it may have been the 1.8T I know that the audi TT with the 1.8T is slower than my car I have beat a few. They get 180 off of the crank and weigh around 3500lbs. Regaurdless it was top end all bets were off on who would win.

and the A4 with the 1.8T I have taken that car too. They are just heavy AWD cars. The thing is that off of the line they will always instantly get about 2 cars on you, but if you don't freakout and start trying to make somthing happen and fvck up, their AWD catches up to them and you pull by.

Even if the jetta was a 1.8T it wouldnt of given you that much of a fight. Jettas are slow. I beat the same kid twice (not using spray) on two seperate occasions in a jetta 1.8T taking my normal route to school. He sucked gettin his car off the line which may be the ultimate reason why I won both times, but it just goes to show you how close they are in comparison. They're slow cars just like ours until you start modifying them.

well, you did state he sucked off the line. I have seen a Jetta 1.8 (slightly modded with exhaust and BOV) up against a SE-R Spec V Sentra. In the end, Jetta won.

^^The guy in the spec-V prolly didnt know how to drive either. The Jettas are pretty heavy. He shouldnt have won with only those mods.

If you put an adjustable BOV on a Jetta you can increase the boost

Stock for stocka Jetta 1.8T would rape a Civic. A heavily modded n/a Civic would keep up with a Jetta. VR6 is another story.

yeah but most of that is done in coordination with a boost controller as well as an aftermarket BOV.

I am sure that is what he was talking about, it would be stupid to upgrade the BOV just for the sound.
