cel light - megan test pipe - my 03 ex
i been running my car with the megan hi flow test pipe which is a downpipe and replaces the entire cat. i believe its only my secondary o2 sensor thats been reading the bad signals to the computer to throw off the cel light but i wanted to know if i were to install an o2 simulator from www.bigjoshracing.com or any other, after getting rid of the cel light, can i expect my car to perform better in any case?

im not sure who but i think it was either gearbox or civic01vtep* that said cel lights affect your cars performance.. so that got me curious if i were to fix the problem, would it make it better?

But your not actually fixing the problem. If I remember correctly, your o2 sensor is reading too much airflow or something like that, and throwing that light on. Now the o2 simulator is just going to turn that light off, not fixing the problem. Now I am pretty sure down the line if you start to have any real problems, you wont know because the engine light wont come on.
The whole reason that light is on is because you have basically no cat on the car. So there is your performance issue right there.

the light will still come on for other problems but not for the o2 sensor. so you wont know if your o2 sensor went bad.
