cd player used as piggy bank

my kid put coin change in my 2002 civic. Before I could get the change out the cd player was crackily and even with it off going over bumps the speakers would crackle.

Then I turned off the car and the beep went off, even though my lights were off because the parking lights would not turn themselves off. After hitting thee dash they eventually went off.

Now after I removed all the change from the cd player. The cdplayer does not turn on, the speedometer and feul guage vibrate when I start up, but eventually settle down. The remote entry does not work either. I have checked the fuses and all are good.

Can anyone please advise what I should check next???

Thanks in advance
