d17 vs 96 prelude dohc 190hp?

raced my friends riced out 96 prelude with alot of body work and only exaust tip. he has close to 100,000 miles and he's selling..

the first time he raced from dead stop i took him from the line til mid third gear..about 70 mph where he started pulling... by 90 mph he was about 2-3 cars ahead of me..

ran again and same thing..i ws beating him til about mid third gear..

was kinda happy about the results concidering its 190 hp..

i was on stock 15' steelies with empty trunk no spare tire or jack (just temporary tire thing)

he wes on 17' konigs with his girlfriend that proly weighs about 120lbs..

just wanted to post that..

Preludes were decent at the time, but by today's standards, it's not too fast... especially when heavy things have been added on to an already heavy front drive car. The newer Lude with a decent driver could do 0-60 in low 7 seconds. The older ones had slightly better gearing, hmm...
