I've got a 12" LCD from a laptop, was considering putting it in my dash, or modding it to hook up and selling it....anybody know how to mod a 50-pin connector, or know a place to find a pin diagram for a Matsushita display? The model number's EDMGRB6KAF, not sure what controller's used or anything else

Sorry AFAIK it can't be done, at least not easily, it's a COMPLETELY different type of display

Well, I could always get an extension, remote-mount the mobo, and do it that way...or get a mini-ITX mobo and dash mount it....

I saw a guy who mounted a mobo beside his sub on his box before... looked pretty good you should try that.

Where are you planning on putting a 12" monitor, right in the middle of the dash?

well, it's in an '88 Subaru Justy, basically a rebadged Festiva....so custom center console under the dash.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news.
If it's _ONLY_ a laptop screen, (no controller) you are wasting your time.

LCD controller = Expensive.
For the same price of a controller, buy a brand new 15" for few bills. They accept 12V DC, plus you get a nice warranty in case schit happens.

I've got the whole laptop, but it's in parts....just needs a new HDD and a new battery.
