1st time out to track jdm k20a 2001 civic sedan

it rained all nite and in the morning so the event was cancelled...
St thomas dragway in ontario canada.

did about 10 runs...

reaction 1.010
60ft 2.271
330ft 6.204
1/8ET 9.379
1/8MPH 78.79
1/4ET 14.298
1/4MPH 98.90

then...i shattered my driveshaft with a 5000rpm launch.

car:
kumho 712s
rota subzeros
koni yellow shocks
neuspeed race springs
jdm k20a
k&n custom SRI
dc tcs exhaust
94 octane

no traction at all too much torque.

1st time...was fun...now i have to fix my car and upgrade my shafts

alot of room for improvement...a few runs i had a 1/4mph of 100+

With traction, you should be in the mid to high 13s. The downside to more traction is more broken stuff.

was it a stock SI axle that broke? I am looking into the same swap and I want to stay 4 lug also. That sux if the stock si axle can't handle a fat launch rpm.

still weighing out the options.

-N/A: TODA ENGINE KIT, TODA ITBS
if thats not enough then add a nitrous kit

-Vortech Supercharger

-Custom Turbo Kit

I'd stay AWAY from nitrous for anything daily driven. Engine build sounds nice. Personally, i'd go for an engine build then a cybernation Stage II EM2 k20 swap turbo. Here's a thread you should read!:
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=177253
Homeboy spanked a friggin Z06 vette at the track with a k20a2 and this turbo kit in his EM2. Ran low 12's!

actually i pumped that EK coupe (JDM b18c type R)
i took him in 3rd and 4th

he ended going a 14.8

yeah i'm running 4lug still...rsx suspension was too much

the thing about going turbo is that its a type R motor...its build for N/A...
to run mega boost i'd have to lower the compression...if i didn't then i'd only be able to run 6-8psi safely on the 11.5.1 compression motor

if i did N/A build...i might have a faster car...(possibly)

EK hatch weighs 1510kg curb weight
ES sedan weighs 1590kg curb weight

i've seen some built EK hatches with K20a running 12s

4dr sleeper. kinda like my car....except i am slow.(so i am a super sleeper) good work though....i say stay n/a. i would surely impress people that your car is fast and not boosted...cause people are always talking crap about turbo civics for some reason. maybe they are jealous that boosted 4 bangers can beat them? i dont know. end transmission.
