Two arm rest questions

I have an 02 EX> Is the arm rest removable, and can you order another one from the factory and how much is it? I want to modify it so I can hide my head unit in there when I'm not in the car, and I don't think anyone would ever think to look in an arm rest. Well, except for you guys, cuz I just told you all.

But I figured I should get another one in case I mess up or whatever. Or if not, how can I remove mine so I can have access to it for modification?

Thanks.

I wouldn't think that it would be an issue to replace it if you need to. There a DIY that shows you how to install the thing, so I don't know why there would be an issue if you messed it up. As for the cost... An arm rest shows up on here for a little under $50.

Gut out the faceplate on your old factory cd or tape player and use that to cover the HU so it looks like you have a stock unit.

Why?

And holy ****, $50 for a new one?! Forget that. I hope I don't mess up then.

Has anyone ever cut into their armrest? Is it just stuffing? If you remove some if it will it lose structural integrity?
