Oil leaking from somewhere ... It is the turbo (SF help out here)
Bad news guys .... I have been having this smell of buring oil from my hood the day I installed the SF kit. At first I thought it was just the oil and grease burning up that got on the parts during installation. But as days passed by the smell got stronger and today when I parked my car I saw a drop of oil on the floor. I got under the car to check it out. The direction of the drop was as it fell from underneath the turbo. I checked the oil lines connections but they seem to be all ok. I am going to take the car to the workshop on Saturday. I just hope its not the turbo.
Have anyone else had any similar problems. In case it turns out to be a faulty turbo, does SF replaces it. (Mike if you are reading this let me know asap) I'll know by Saturday what the exact problem is.

Ok now I have oil in my exhaust. What the hell is going on??? It hasn’t even been a week since I put in my (supposedly brand new) SF Turbo kit.
I searched around and found out that an oil restrictor might solve the problem. Has this worked for anyone?
Secondly, the point in the oil pan where I welded the connector is a bit lower than what is shown in the SF fitting manual (or DIY) because of the external wastegate downpipe. Could that have anything to do with this???
Help me out guys …….

Please elaborate....................
Things I would check:
weld around return fitting on pan
oil feed line fitting to turbo
reservour on turbo
return oil line fitting on turbo

The car has bluish smoke and when you wipe your finger inside the exhaust tip you can find engine oil there. Started happening the day I installed my turbo kit but just realized it.....

Its Oil, I can easily smell it from even inside the car with the window down. I am hoping an oil restrictor would solve the problem or perhaps raising the drain point in the oil pan.

Gotti I havent checked the breather filter yet but would do that.
Smuggler .... I dont think I am running rich. Fuel has nothing to do with this problem. Its just oil. I contacted SF and they told me to relocate the drain point in the pan, making it as high as possible and then using an oil restrictor if the problem is still not solved. I am hoping it works that way.
Mexicano, when you had the same problem how did you remedy it? I hope it werent the seals on the turbo? Did you had warranty on it?

OK the problem is your oil return line to the oilpan. Even at the highest point possible to tap the oil pan you will have a problem on the 7thgen (or at least I did) The oil restrictor helped a little. You need to tap the oilpan as high as possible and make sure your oil return hose is as short as possible with no dips in it. Also You can run the oil between the two dots and not above the top dot.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Between the two dots? what are you refering too?
I had the same problem with oil but it was because my oil return line got blocked....
if that's not the problem then start looking for a new head gasket....

lol, that makes sense
I ran into the problem of having the oil pan tapped at the highest point but it is too close the downpipe and burned a hole in it a couple of times until i wrapped it with steel threaded hose....
