DD/Digital Designs Subs
ive competed sound quality with DD "9506"'s, so to speak.
fed the little six'ers 350 rms the first day I got them and blew them to hell in 30 minutes. customer service was outstanding.
I havent parted with them since.

where are they mounted?
What did they want for RMS?
they sound great. enough to place in sound quality competition. Id say on par with kodas for sound quality (stuff like tonality, realism, transparrency) but not quality of sound (more or less frequency response). basically over all sound quality is mid level, like kodas, not high end like utops or top gear like lotus reference. But still capable in sound qualty, and more SPL capability than most sets around.
Ive only fed my set 100+, so I cant tell you how they do on less. my new amp does 65 rms, but its not running yet so I cant tell you how it does on less than 125 rms. I can however tell you itll do 250 rms all day pretty easily, and 350 rms if you are careful with the gains. thats 350 rms to a 6.5 inch speaker.....
overall, I am very impressed. I personally think they are the ultimate rock speaker, bands like tool and rage. I have yet to hear a speaker that conveys more energy to the listener than the DD's, and I dare any speaker to try.
I had mine in kicks, I just moved them to the doors for the new install. However, Im not sure they will work in the doors yet, since they are over 3 inches deep. a 1" spacer wasnt enough to prevent the motor from hitting the window, 1.25 was needed. that meant trimming part of the plastic doorpanel (that ring that the foam is attached to) and im still not sure if the speaker will hit it at full excursion. doesnt touch it at rest though....
I think thats everything you were asking for...

forgot to mention massive midbass. not as much as the kodas, but that just means the midbass doesnt overpower the midrange like the koda set. the midrange is un-freaking-believable in volume capability, and the midbass is there to back it up.
set the crossover to 110 Hz with a 12 dB slope and you wont believe how loud they can get.
Ive heard they are comparable to dyn sets, which I somewhat agree with. more resonance peaks, but louder. same kind of energy level, just more with the DD's.
did I mention if they break the customer service was excelent?
