Good place to hide your detachable faceplate
I was thinking the face plate is a little smaller than the arm rest. You could custom fabricate an opening and put it in there. Who would think to look there?
Where do you guys hide it? Glovebox/door compartment/under the seat/trunk? Or do you have awesome stealth hiding places?
Or maybe we shouldn't discuss that here, cuz you never know who's reading.
edit - oops I just saw the other detachable face plate thread. Oh well, that one is about if you hide it and this one is about where you hide it

Also, my Pioneer came with a little case to hold the faceplate. Do they all do that, or is that a Pioneer thing?

I sometimes just take mine off and leave it laying right in front of the bezel up against the gauges. Its silver and matches the gauges and at night its really hard to tell its even there. Main thing is to show the little red light flashing where the faceplate had been.

All my decks ever have come with cases.
I tend to just throw it in my console most of the time or if I am at school I toss it in my backpack

I was going to start a thread like this awhile back to see if anyone has done a little modifying and made a lock for their glovebox. I have been thinking about taking a glove box lock from another car and putting it on the glovebox, or creating some sort of lock for the center console (I have an 03) so that I have somewhere secure and convenient to keep my faceplate. If anyone has done this, or would be interested, let me know.
