Simple HU wiring question
Im wiring up my wire harness for my new headunit (Clarion VRX935VD...w00t to mobile video!), and I have a few questions about the wiring.
1) On the wiring harness, it has a wire listed as "power antenna." The HU manual lists one of the wires from it as being "power antenna." THey're both blue. What are these? The radio antenna attachment is elsewhere, so what is this? I do connect them, correct?
2) On the Honda wiring harness, there is an orange wire labeled "illumination," and an orange/white wire labeled "dimmer." From my HU, there is only one of these wires, an orange/white one labeled "illumination." I would just connect it to the orange wire on the harness, but every other wire has connected to the wire of the exact same color, except for this one. Since there is no wire labeled "dimmer" coming out of the HU, I wanted to make sure I was connecting it to the right one. Do I connect it to the orange wire, or to the orange/white wire?
3) The e-brake cable I can simply ground to any part of the chassis, correct?
That's all for now. I will be actually installing it Saturday night or Monday, so I might have some issues then. Thanks in advance.

I went ahead and installed it how I think it goes, and apparently I have bigger problems than what I thought. There is now no power at all going to the unit. The main unit does not turn on or do anything, and the brain unit is apparently not receiving power because the "amp turn-on" wire, which is attached to my amp, is not letting my amp turn on. Any simple stupid mistakes I might have made? I moved the ground point to one I know is grounded, and I checked the fuses.

1) Connect the 2 power antenna wires together. The power antenna wire on the deck harness is also the remote turn on lead for the system unless there is a seperate lead for that purpose.
2) I believe the illumination wire can be connected to either dimmer or illumination
3) yes
To troubleshoot your deck, check the fuses under the hood, particularly one called backup, check the radio fuse under your dash, check the fuse on your deck, and check the fuse on your brain if there is one there as well. If all fuses are good, check with a multimeter or test light to determine the bad connection and work from there to fix it.
