Charge pipe size?

Im still working on gathering some items for my turbo kit but here is the basics that i have.

HKS manifold
GT28R turbo
Johnnyracecar FMIC (Core 30" X 6" X 2" End tanks are 7" tall X 3.25 deep. 2.5" OD piping X 2.5" long )

What size of charge pipes would you recommend? I can assume the intake to the turbo should be as large as possible. But measuring the output size of the GT28R i cant imagine larger then 2" charge pipes being needed? Keep in mind im not intending on building HUGE HP numbers at this time.

i would go with 2.25. 2" just looks way too small, and it isnt that much more expensive.

I agree on the looks factor, but cost is not the main concern. Does SF uses Stainless pipes or are they mild stell then just powder coated? Ive heard that mild steel pipes will rust out on an intake?

what about 2.5"??
Plus... having 2.25 from the turbocharger to the intercooler and then 2.5" from the intercooler to the engine would do a good job???

I have 2.5' pipes. Looks awesome and no boost spikes. My turbo guy said I might run into some boost spikes by going with the larger pipes but it looks good and runs awesome. Good luck.

id run at least 2.25 on the charge side. 2 inch on the compressor side minimum but its all up to you and what your gunna do. I always leave room for extra HP so that I dont hafta do things twice if I change me mind later.

I ran a 2" off the turbo, then welded an adapter to 2.25" to the intercooler. Then from the intercooler, I picked up a 2.25"-2.5" coupler adapter to the tb. My intercooler has 2.25" inlet/outlet.
