turbo smoking, head gasket?
i got my turbo kit and it was smokin like a bit*h so i had the turbo completely rebuilt, i ran the kit for like a week on 5psi with no fuel kit, im afraid i blew my head gasket because it quit smoking right after i put the new turbo on, and i rode it real hard that day, and the next day its smokin a white/blueish smoke all the time, and when i get on the gas the motor sounds like its got 200,00 miles on it, and its only got 30k. hahah, im assuming i blew the gasket cause i didnt run the fuel system, and it didnt help i was blowing oil into the motor when the turbo was leakin. (and i took it to the track, haha) let me know what you guys think, thanks.

turbo w/o adding fuel? ... you were probably running HELLA lean ... which = detonationbluish white smoke is coolant. Welcome to blown headgasket land
hm .. replacing a headgasket is pretty expensive and a pita. if you can do it yourself, it'll cost ~$40 (for the gasket) ... but if you don't, I don't recommend doing it by yourself especially since you probably don't know what you're doing
if you do end up doing it yourself, make sure your torque the head bolts correctly
blew a plug? ... probably detonated to hell ... make sure you get new plugs again

when u put your motor back into shape, make sure u do everything the RIGHT way this time and don't take any shortcuts ...

You "blew a plug out"? As in it came up and pushed the coil out of the way and hit your hood... or you blew the end of the spark plug off? Either way, you're looking at a TOTAL rebuild of the motor if either one of those happened. Pieces of metal (your spark plug's busted ***) will scrape and embed themselves in your pistons, valves, and cylinder walls, and that means new pistons and either re-sleeve the block while rebuilding the head, or get a whole new block.
Does your oil dipstick try to fly up when you hit boost? If so, you fried your rings.
90% of detonation cannot be heard. If you can hear detonation, you already blew up something important.
Don't run a turbo without a fuel system made for a turbo... good god people that can't be that hard to understand.
Do a compression check, then do a leakdown test. Then have whoever is replacing your headgasket turn the motor over manually once the head is off to visually check the cylinder walls and pistons. Take off your oil pan, and see if you have chunks of things in there. If you're lucky, it's just your headgasket. If not... then prepare to rebuild the whole motor.

So sad but very true
do u have a lot of blow-by coming out of your breather valve in the block? If so, welcome to my world. You blew every single one of your pistons, broke your ringlandings, and most likely fried your rings as well.
If you think its your headgasket, check your engine coolant. If its milky-white, slimey on top, then you blew the headgasket. If its fine, then you have a lot of internal damage, just like my car
I blew a spark plug too....so far I'm up to $1100 in repairs. You have fun with that

i only blew the ground straps off the spark plug, and actually i believe that the chips of the strap would be shot out the exhaust, the only major damage that could have caused was to rip a fin off the turbo. i think its the head gasket, im pretty positve. thaks guys

Just make sure you check the cylinder walls and rings well.

sorry man, no i dont have any blow by, that part of it is good! the problem has to be the gasket, there just isnt any other place it could be. when i get off work today im gonna take the radiator cap off and see if its got exhaust in it.
