The heavier one is for N\A applications. The lighter one is better for turbo. Less rotating mass = more hp. I have an ACT with 2000 miles on it for $200 plus shipping. Let me know.

Exactly. Lighter is better for N/A as it helps the mid-range.

The good thing about it is it's quite a noticeable difference over stock.

I would probably go for the lighter one. Look at this way, buy the lighter one and put it in. You like it, good. If you dont then put in the stock one back as its just 2 or 3 lbs heavier than the Streetlite (11.7 lbs vs 14 lbs, if I am not wrong). Also, for the clutch kit why not go for Stage 2, HC5-XTSS. If you are spending your money, do it right the first time. But it really depends how much boost you are planning to run. Everyone wants to go higher and higher one way or the other, so just make sure you put your money in the right place.

lighter. between the two weights there really isn't that much difference for how much HP you're putting out

dont make it too light, i seriously would not go under 10, theres problems with the flywheel being too light seriously...i cant exactly remember why i think the faster it spins the hotter, etc. a lot of physics involved...any other knowledgable people know what im talkin about?

It's not the fact that it spins faster, they both spin the same per rpm. The lesser amount of mass is the cause for the increased heat. There's less metal to help absorb and dissapate heat.

I had the 8.2lb flywheel in my turbo D17. Great once you're in gear and pulling through some long turns, but other than that, streetlight is what you want. I couldn't launch for sh*t with my pro-lite. I would either bog down or make too much power and light the tires up. So yeah, unless you're doing nothing but road racing, stick with the street one.

BTW - The ACT Extreme Stage 2 clutch setup is the bomb! I got mine from dezod fast, and the clutch has held up to about 75-100 boosted launches with drag radials.
