I love my Civic

I drove around yesterday in my brothers 2002 Z28 Camaro and let me tell you that thing is fast. It would smoke the hell out of our cars (most). I mean it is fast. You know what though in spite of all that speed I still would rather have our cars. Sitting in that thing is like being in a coffin and there are so many blind spots I dont even know where to begin. It gets about 18 to the gallon and sometimes I even wonder about that. So next time you feel bad about your Hondas speed trust me from experience we have it made. Besides just because our quarter mile and 0-60 is not good tell me we all don't feel great while flipping through the 5 speed. You are probably saying "why is this guy saying this"? Im just saying it because today I really understood that speed is not everything.

I love my car because it is so cheap to fix up. Basically it is the only car I can afford to do anything to because college is expensive.

I had a V6 Mustang owner once tell me "I wish my car felt like this", referring to the fit and finish and placement of steering wheel and pedals and shifter.

I love my civic too. This is my nth car. Started with a 95 civic coupe ex --> Nissan pathfinder ---> Merc SLK 230 ---> 350Z ----> 1999 535i ---> civic sedan.

I was sick of paying out of my *** on nice cars to floss in. The z was my baby but it was too out of control as my only car. So i am in save-mode now for a house but i love the no hassle of my civic.

I plan on lowering it and slappin on some 17s with a decent sound system but i am not adversely going to change the 30+mpg!

Here are some pics of my slk and 350z which are with second owners.

My next project might be a 2001 s2000 converted into full jdm amuse specs.

I love my civic too. I used to drive a VW GTI and it was pretty fast, but the reliability was crap. It was always having problems. When I bought my Civic in November last year, I felt a huge weight lifted off of me because I knew I was buying a good car. I know they aren't as fast as some other cars, but you can change that with a little money and some work. So I must say I agree with you 04exowner.

What always amazed me about Honda is they make probuction cars like the s2000 and Type R that make 100-110 hp per liter, that means a 90''gt shoul make 500 hp from 5 liters, that will never happen. ha ha

I agree ,I love my civic!! I grew up on american ponycars,I have had 2 5 liter stangs and 3 or 4 iroc camaro's and though my civic isn't as fast, it has other qualities that american cars don't, like being able to start everyday, not being scared to take a long trip and of course the fit, finish and feel of a honda!!
