I have an 01 civic lx. The maint req came on at 53,000. Where can I find what I need to do. What sort of inspection do I need to do. thank you for your time.

Basically that light comes on to let you know that you should check things in your car. It doesnt neccessarly mean you need maintanence. It is kinda hondas way of making more money. Cause they know that alot of people will come in when that light comes on and usually will spend money to have things checked out. Unless your car is messing up, I wouldnt worry about it. Just follow the rules in the owners manual to turn the light off.

I have never gone in when my light comes on, I just turn it off every time it comes on.

You don't have to worry about the light, if you are keeping up on regular maintance. Fluid changes and that kind of stuff. They are covered in the owners manual.
