I'm new but count me in

Well new to the board anyhow. My gf has an 04 nbp EM1. I've been trolling around but finally decided to register due to this thread. I'll be sure to lend a hand. I've been doing Honda stuff for about 5 years now so I should be of some help... the EM1 is relatively unmodded at this point except for a cai.
Let me know the details, where and when, if we need tools I can bring some specific tools if needed.

Peace

wish i had the time to help out dude. i did it a couple of times so it only takes me about 1.5hrs....assuming that its the same thing as the coupe.

you'll definately need:
jackstands
floorjack(one you can trust)
spring compressors (free from autozone)
and air tools will make it a helluva lot easier.

Deff. do not forget that. also make sure to be verry carefull when removing the upperbearings, they have a nasty tendancy to end up all over the place. other than that it shouldnt take to long at all.

Ps. dont forget pics of before and after.

Yeah, you'll need em. You have to take the spring off of the strut to replace it with your new one.

i was able to remove my stock springs w/o a spring compressor.. u just have to aim it at something so u dont lose any of the peices when the strut assembly shoots apart.. and if ur springs lower more than about 1.25 inches then u dont need spring compressors to put them back on. Its a real easy job and with two people working on it with the proper tools and manuals u can get it done in 1.5 hours easy..

You could have just bought Jons old Goldlines. I just put on his old header and downpipe a few weeks ago.

Yes, this is correct you could have bought my old Goldlines for $70 but NO, j/p.
Anyways, back to topic, I didn't use a spring compressor either so you shouldn't have a problem!

Maybe we can have a tech day where (JT) and I can both do suspension work because I get my Koni's in a week hmmm....

But aren't the springs different for coupes and sedans? At least I thought they were. I was reading about them and someone put coupe springs on his sedan and had major sag in the rear, I think.
