The whine came back but now its gone (and hopefully for good)

Well if you follow this forum then you know about my alternator whine prolbems. Me and megahurtz discussed it for awhile and with several dead ends we finally adjusted the gain on the amp and that got rid of the noise, but the gain was so low the speakers were hardly hearable.(if thats a word)

I knew the noise was coming from the rca's because i could move them and it would get silent but I treid several different pair and nothing changed. So this afternoon I took the back of the speaker wires from the back of the HU and ran them to the input spots on the amp then ran wires to the speakers, thus getting rid of the rca's. NO MORE NOISE! I am so excited.

Has any one else set their amp up like this?

maybe the shielding on the rcas were causing a ground loop...

try rca's with one of those line isolator transformers to get rid of ground loops?
