i just got a lip kit and i installed it last week

the body shope that i am going to get some paint work done wanted 400 to paint the lip kit

am i loosing it or is that insane

that sounds about right. i got my front and sides painted for $450, so i don't see how 400 for an entire lip kit is unreasonable.

nooo, one of my biggest pet peevs is people who drive around with unpainted sections of their car.. bumper covers.. lips.. etc.. dont put the ****in **** on untill you have it painted, it doesnt look good/cool unpainted.. its just gay. /mini rant

his kit is unpainted, abs plastic black. his car is black. it wouldn't look that bad unless you really look for inconsistencies with his car.

if its black then thats not too bad, but still, it could get crap on it like tar or bugs, etc. possibly even nicks and scratches, which would take extra work to mess with before being painted, its just not worth it.

damn 400 for just a lip kit? Where I got my kit painted at it cost me 50$ for my side skirts, and another 50$ to re-paint my rear lip (wings west g5) from black to silver (since i bought it used). If I would've had a front lip, the whole thing would've cost me 150$ painted, but not installed. Plus, its a good job, paint matched perfectly, it isnt cracking after a year, and it still shiney. Eh, i really cant complain if I had my lip kit painted for 150$ anyway though, lol.
