How much water is needed to cause hydrolock?

now thats paranoid.
You should have no worries about hydrolock if you are running a sri if the water gets up that high then you have bigger problems. all joking aside beastiek2 is right it would have to be at least partially submerged to hydrolock.

I saw a video from AEM where a guy took an AEM CAI, with a bypass filter, hooked up to his NSX stuck it in a fishtank. They started the car up and gave it some revs and the CAI sucked up water like crazy. But the thing was that when it hit the bypass filter, it was spraying everywhere. If a guy is crazy enough to sacrafice his NSX, don't worry about putting it on your CAI on your Civic.
