Removing Panels
Removing Panels
OK I know this is a total newbie thing, but how to i remove the panels and everything that I need to do to wire my amp up. Is there a guide with pics or anything? I looked for some little pop screws but i couldnt find any.
When you are trying to find info on how to do something, try checking out the DIY section first. If its not there, you could run a search across the forums using keywords like "amp wiring" or something.
Just some advice for ya, I'll save you some time and give you this link:

To get the panels under your dash off:
a) Drivers side has a thing you can turn and then it just pulls off
b) Passengers side just pull down
Use a hex key to get the foot rest off, just pull the kick panel off on both sides
Remove a cover around the keyhole on the drivers side sill plate, take a screw out and it will lift up enough to fit the power wire under. Passenger side just lift it up.
To get the rear side panels off, first take off the C pillar panels by pulling them off starting from the top. Next, remove the rear seats by folding them down, on the smaller seat, lift up a velcro piece which is in the middle beside the bigger seat, take out 2 10mm bolts, remove that seat. Remove the freshly exposed 10mm bolt, remove along with the bracket.
Now on the panel, use a tiny screwdriver or pick to open the little cover behind the handle, take out 1 phillips head screw. You MIGHT have to remove bolts for the front drivers and passengers seatbelt, so if you do, do so. First pull at the back where you see the expose clip to get that clip out. Adjacent to the trunk, there is 1 small clip for each panel. Remove the small door on the side of the panel then stick your hands behind the panel to push the clip out.
Next pull the panel out from the top, then lift up and remove. Rear seats MUST be out to get these panels out. You will see why when you attempt it.
I think that about covers it, let me know if I missed anything.

Sometimes it doesn't go back as easy as it goes apart
One thing to watch out for is when you put the back panels back in, right by where hte screws go there is a little peg for some reason
Don't force the panel as it may be a little off and the peg may not go back in but the panel will click ina nd turn white behind the handle where the peg is.
Not that big a deal unless you are picky like me, now I've gotta take my panel back off to fix it, but I'm so lazy and don't have time anyway.
