Dam it, i got a ticket. (no i wasnt doing 178km/hr, thas just to get your attention!!!....lol)

I got a fuggin ticket on march road during rush hour for "following to close" on Friday coming back from work. Some unmarked car behind me was picking on me. The fine is 110 buck-aroos.

Does anyone know if i get points for this or if this affects my insurance rates?

Do you think i should fight it?

willie the wrx'er (willie is short for my last name!!!)

I just checked an Ontario Demerit Points Schedule, and it says 4 points for "following too closely"

Section 158 of the Highway Traffic Act
4 Demerit Points
Following too closely

I would double check this, I'll keep looking. If you can get your hands on a copy of the Drivers Handbook, it outlines all the offences, and how many points each offence is.

Yup I double checked. it's 4 points... sorry dude. you got fooked!!

but if it was rush hour traffic, and everyone was "following too closely" I would fight that ticket definately. Chances are the cop won't show for the court date, and you won't have to pay. fight it man.

fight it... and never plead guilty....if your a student at a major universaty just bring some ID and tell them your a student and cant afford the points and ticket... just find a way to either get rid of it or ask for a lesser charge

you said it was traffic so its slow (BUMPER to BUMPER??)... and you also said the POPO was BEHIND you... how did he judge if you were to close .....

just come up with ****... remember INNOCENT till proven guilty.. i've been to court to many times hahahaah

good luck
