Just installed TYC headlights...now my left blinker is out. Need help..please read

Hey guys,

I just had my TYC black headlight projectors installed, and while driving I noticed my left blinker is flashing pretty fast. I got out and sure enough the left blinker is out. The amber light stays on during the night but when flashing it wont function.

The right side is doing fine. I dont know if this had something to do with it but I've had my car sitting in my garage for alittle under two weeks as I was waiting for my Optima battery I just put in. So when the headlights were installed, I dont know if the left blinker was working then. Also the headlights came with light bulbs already in them. Any thoughts on what should I do? I mean if I take out the bulb, I may not see it being blown if the amber light comes on at night. Please help out. Thanks.

DrivenConcepts should not be trusted
the turn signals should be double filament maybe the part that should blink is out or maybe they put in a single filament bulb

takumi is on a distinguished road
When I was messing around with my tails, I forgot to connect one of the wires to the bulbs. When I went to use the turn signals, it started blinking faster than normal. I plugged the wire back in and it worked fine.

If your blinker is blinking faster than normal then the blinker light is out, i had the same problem.

Exclamation Found the problem!

Thanks for all the great replies! I finally figured out what was wrong, though. The bulb light was not out. Actually it was the connector or bulb socket - one of the three pins was broken and thus did not have the proper connection.

I'm pretty pissed off about it because I know it was the mistake of the stupid installer. I had someone install my projectors because I didn't want to mess with re-aligning my aftermarket bumper. This guy must of just shoved the connector in and did not take the time to properly align it - thus breaking one of the pins. And now I have to deal with the mess!

Anyway, does anybody know where I can find this connector/bulb socket? I tried most of the local automotive parts stores, but they only carry universal ones that do not come anything close to the the TYC bulb socket. Does anyone know if TYC sells these single parts (without having to purchase a new projector)? If not, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!

**** best bet would be to contact TYC. I dont think anyone will carry those connectors. And I would make the installer pay for it.
