ok, last night was incredible. my friend calls me up and tells me he just traded in his 2k3 base RSX for a 2k2 RSX-S. i almost **** my pants. we met up at about 1am and we drove around till 5am.(me doing 90% of the driving because it was his first time driving a manual.) guys, let me tell you, this car is AMAZING. i am in love. among the many that rolled onto our kill list for the night were an accord v6 coupe, many maximas, acura 3.2 tl, jeep cherokee v8, x5 3.0, 4.4, and my very own 7th gen which was ripped a new *******. this car is a beast. on the ramp onto the belt parkway, i launched it from about 3500 causing the front tires to burnout like *****, onto 2nd gear where the tires once again actually burn out and onto 3rd where the tires chirp once more and so on... we hit 115 EASY. im just speechless. i swear this will be my next car. at the end of the night i got into my good old 7th gen which i love to death but i couldn't fall asleep thinking of the craziness that K20A2 delivers.
Dont race a an 03+ accord V6 six speed they will hand you that a$$ gotta buddy that has one and he spanks type-s's all motor
and when things get tough he hit his 100shot of Nitrous
Maybe a V-6 auto but not a 6 speed

Wow, the way how you tell the story sounds like as if the Type S is like an Enzo or something. LoL. "this car is a beast." LoL. Anyway, glad you had fun. My cousin owns a Type S also, and I drove hers'. I passed its redline and yes it is a good car. But if you want something that might come close to being a beast, you might to consider the SRT-4. I test drove it at the dealer and it's nothing compared to RSX-S in terms of power.

I test drove my friend's 2k2 Type-s awhile ago, and honestly...It wasn't that great ..hahaha I mean it was defenitly faster than my Vic, but it wasn't like.."AMAZING" haha still nice car tho, but I wouldn't want that car as my next ride
prolly a WRX, TSX, 350z are what's in my mind hehehe

prolly a WRX, TSX, 350z are what's in my mind hehehe yeah, i cant wait to get that k20 in my 01 civ since the gad damm timing belt snapped again and i have no more warranty. hell yeah a 6 speed civic type s. then when i get the d17 back, i will bash it up with my 20 lbs sledge hammer. my friend thinks i bent valves again and busted some pistons.

Try riding in a 1300HP Supra taking off and Getting completely sideways at 35% throttle
I test drove a 2004 SRT-4 that now comes stock with Quaife LSD. Holy Crap the front end just lifts up at 75 and keeps going and going and going. the salesman and I were talking as a Porshe Boxster rolled up next to us. He Said "This car will walk all over that Porshe anyday TRY IT" Hell I took his directions very well. Light turned green and I took off. Spun a little hooked up and he was with the rear quarter panel til i hit 5200RPM and then I could see him in the rear view mirror!

The A-Spec is just a gorgeous car, just overpriced.
The SRT-4 is a race enthusiast car.
My next car is either the STi or the Evo 8. Still debating, I love them both...

yeah boosting to give the car some torque is gonna be o so fun.
madwheel, go with the evo. i hate the scoop and the wing on the STi that much
a-spec package is a frickin rip off, makes the car well over 25k. i'd rather have a g35, evo, or any of a number of cars for that money (maybe even an rx-8)

that dodge motor is strong as hell though. I know you guys are racist and/or prejudice.. i understand where you are coming from. A couple years ago if say Hyundai made a motor that was capable of 550whp with stock internals I wouldnt want it under my hood SIMPLY because its hyundai.
Times change, and you need to think... do i want to set my prejudices aside? or be left in the dust?
Rumor has it the reason the SRT-4 motor is so strong is because when the engineers were given the green light to build this car, they didnt have time to durability test it. So they put the strongest of every part they could find. Thats why a Neon SRT-4 is capable of 10's on stock internals.
With any luck, I get to drive a 2003 RSX-S A spec saturday. Sticker price is $23,xxx seems reasonable. Ill let you guys know how it compares to my bolt on spec v.

Its not even a dodge motor its a Mercedes motor thats out of the Compressor with stronger internals and lower compression for boost...
People have yet to harness the full power of one of these motors. 500 w/stock internals and he has had it that way for a while before he blew it up. What about with internals....I've seen one with 3,000 dollars thrown at it and the SRT-4 was running 375 untuned at the wheels soooo
Straight sick

The SRT-4 was built for boost. So of course its going to hold a lot of power with stock internals.
But Why the fu(k did this thread go to SRT-4s? This isn't a debate thread. And besides you can not compare the Type S to the SRT-4. N/A vs Boost.
Over all the Type S with stronger internals, same size turbo as the SRT-4, and same amount of boost will walk all over the SRT-4.
