your not familiar with the story of the kid who blew his subaru engine and tried to do something similar....lying to dealers like this is the reason they give people with modified cars so much ****. take responsibility for what happend.
the dealer wont know......and no lying is not the reason why people give **** to owners of modified cars....if money aint a thang then please go right ahead and fork out $ to get a new engine, or play the game and get a brand new engine for free....ive down it twice and i still got much respect........u gotta do wat u gotta do....
i guess thats one way to look at it.. ****ed up in my opinion but whatever. if you mess up your car, its your fault, so grow up and take responsibility for your actions.. unless you wanna go thru life just scamming people.. im not sayin money grows on trees and itll be cheap.. but hey.. like you said you do what you gotta do.

ok I had the same thing happen. My car died right in the middle of high water. What I did was take it to a local shop and they basically sucked the water out of the cylinders really good and vacumed water out of the throttle body and got the car running. then they drained the oil and tranny fliud like 10x and the car worked. But the thing is after a week or so things might **** up. Then take it to the dealer cause then they wont know you had water damage. If it doesnt run from having all the water tooken out, then your screwed. Basically taking it to a shop first and having the water sucked out first will be better than going to the dealer because then they wont even warranty anything if they get it running again and something goes wrong.

I didnt really screw them over, I just did the smart thing. Dont take your car to the dealer if you drive through high water. They are just going to give you a big bill and tell you that you shouldnt have driven through high water, and then afterwards if something **** up, they will blame that on the water damage and it wont be covered under warranty. I took mine to the dealer after I cleared out all the water when the tranny started messing up and it was under warranty. They never know I had water damage. I dont try and screw them over, I just try to think smart. I guess though if you look at it, it does seem like I am screwing them over.
hahah. Dont screw over a dealership..... thats funny. A dealership would fvck you over 10X quicker then you can think of fvcking them over if they could. They sell cars and tell you it had one owner and its in great shape when they have no fvckin clue. Dealerships make a lot of money on poeple for nothing. Saying that its not right to screw a dealership is just dumb...... good luck living your life in this country if you're so honest.... this country will own your dumb@ss.
Take it to the dealership with the stock air box and say you dont know what happened.... you were driving int he rain and the car died. You dont know what happened or why. Let them figure it out.

i dont know what kind of dealerships you guys have been to that you have been to that you have such a bad attitude about them.. or are you all just jumpin on the dealers are evil bandwagon? its really too bad, **** like this happens, a mod ****ed up his car, he puts it back to stock and acts innocent, then when people with real honest issues go into the dealer to get their cars checked out.. they get treated like ****.. because people like you guys ruin it for everyone... unbelievable.. grow up

Hey, it's okay for a dealer mechanic to spill gas under my back seat and not say anything, right? right. That's how much most dealers care about doing work for free *warranty*
exactly ive screwed them over twice....dealerships get honda's civics that is for liek 8,000$ and they make wat like another 8 off the deal....thats bull......damn...i mean look at my post in forced induction and swaps under "my swap" i just spent a **** load of $ into my car but u know wat... i have a new d17 on the side.....just incase.....u never know wat could happen......i dont see how this is ripping the dealership? its just taking advantage of your warranty....
.....and if you disagree i respect your morals...

actually,, i think my car is ok.. i got my car home and its running smooth as ever, but i'm gonna take it by a local place before the dealership to checkout everything. smooth crank, smooth idle, smooth sailing hopefully. this is what happens when you are racing home because you have a wasted girl in your car wanting to throw up. i blame her.
if it cranks smooth, and idles smooth, are the chances still high for long term damages?

Count your blessings, change the oil and filter, and avoid those puddles.
