i just got a new set of 215/45/17 tires today for my civic, but the problem is that every turn or bump i hit, my tires rub against the inside of my fenderwell. The main reason for this is because my car is lowered 1.8". I dont want to screw with my camber so I thought that i could shave down the inside of my fender and make that lip about half as long. Any ideas on what I should do? For the mean time, I will be forced to drive my friends '95 turbo gsr integra while he is out of town at a paintball tournament.

"forced" to drive it?? Are you sure youre forced? heehee.... Did you get aftermarket struts?

You can:

Get skinnier tires
Get your fenders rolled
Get your fenders plasma cut
Get wheels with a larger offset
Raise your car up

There might be a few other things I missed but this is the basic stuff you can do.

I saw someone use a baseball bat between the fender and tire to roll the lip. Worked well but the paint cracked a little. Gotta work it gradually. Start at the skinny end of the bat and push the car by hand, don't drive it!

You may get lucky on the paint, but don't be surprised if it cracks.

I would never take the risk of rolling my fenders. Thats one of the reasons I got Ground Control coilovers so that if I am ever too low, I can always raise it up a little. Rolling your fenders will cause the paint to crack..then you have to worry about rust and what not. Get them cut if you are having rubbing issues.
