Hey guys,
Earlier this afternoon I tried to install my new Fiber Images Carbon Fiber Hood. It seemed an easy enough project. Except that when I put the CF hood on my car it wouldn't close. The hood latch will grab the CF hood, but it won't pull it down to a complete close. I tried numerous things . . . like moving the CF hood back and forth and adjusting other things, but still . . . NOTHING! I even put my stock hood back on to see if maybe there was a problem with the hood latch, but it worked like a charm. I am beginning to think that the holes where you screw the CF hood to the hood lever(s) (I have no idea what they're called) are off. Could my hood be defective? I hope not!! Well, have any of you had this sort of problem and do you all have any suggestions or solutions for this BIG HEADACHE!
Just my luck . . . when I'm finally completing my last mod something goes wrong.
Well, guys, your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Use the search button. This has been a problem to almost everyone you have to bend the latch on the hood to get it to fit I believe. I am not exactly sure but do SEARCH it will let you know everything you want to know on this problem.
i just happened to find your post.. and hopefully you found what you were looking for.. if not.. the same thing happened to me.. I have an OEM style fiber images hood and all u gotta do it push down hard. Don't be afraid to give it a solid push so it can latch on. It took me several tries, but i finally got the hang of it.
