I have an obx b3 muffler with piping from the cat, with no resonator. It doesn't sound bad at all. It is really deep sounding, the only thing ricey is it is really loud, so keep in your resonator. Also I have the deepest and loudest rumble sitting idle than most imports I have ever heard.

right now i just have a magnaflow muffler, but im assuming the full catback magnaflow would b similar sounding just louder, but it sounds really deep and is not loud at all, i can hear my engine over it if i rev the engine only time I hear the exhaust over the engine is when im revving high while moving, or if i let off the gas and let the engine wind down, but I have a catback on the way, so it's all about to change
ANSA has sound clips, give a listen http://www.ansaautomotive.com/SoundVideo/index.html click on the honda civic link
HKS Hi-Power is nice. Its a deep throaty sound, i like it, and other 7thgeners who've herd it like it. It only gets noticable after the car is fully warmed up. When you first start it up, and rev it, the engine seems louder than the exhaust, lol. I dont even have anything in there.

I have an OBX cat back exhaust and I love the way it sounds. It does not sound ricey at all. You can barely hear anything when it's idle. And when you drive it has a nice low bassy sound. I must say that I probably have one of the best sounding exhausts where I live because everything around here sounds really ricey (like a lawnmower, or bumblebee, or worse). Like I said, I couldn't be happier - it sounds perfect.
Plus, if it's too loud for you . . . you can always use the silencer.
Hope this helps

I have a Matrix muffler with stock piping and no resonator...it sounds great...it has a very low rumble when it idles and when you accelerate it has a deep tone and not very loud..i think mine is either a 90mm or 100mm tip
