AEM V2 Kicks ***!
Just put it on tonight. Pulls a lot harder starting at 3000 rpm. Sounds mean too. It was actually pretty cool out tonight so that probally aided it's performance. I stop light raced a brand new Type S with the factory performance package. Wasn't even gonna try. I just happened to roll by him as the light changed. He just got on it so I did too. He slowly walked away to about a car length before I shut down at 90. I was very pleased that I could hang with a type s, but he prolly just couldn't drive. I know just an intake couldn't make that happen. BUt after tomorrow it could be a different story.
Kamakaze and tanabe smr install starts tomorrow at 10am sharp. Then the real fun begins. I will track test within the next couple weeks after my rims and pulleys get here.
BAck on topic. I highly recommend the V2 for any VP/DX/LX. Easy install, came with detailed directions and fit perfectly.

yeah your right it dynoed worst for the EX. In my opinion and from other VP/DX/LX as I stated before it is the best. I wish I had money left over to do a before and after Dyno like I planned. Unfortunately all the stuff I ordered emptyed my wallet. Like I said I'll track test everything within the next couple weeks or at the latest the 1st week in Aug when I get paid.

AEM v2 intake...
I was wonderin if the AEM v2 intake for a 96-00 civic LX,DX,CX would fit into a 01 civic LX coupe? I got the intake when I had the 99 civic LX but I ended up getting an 01 civic LX. anyone looking to buy an AEM v2 intake for a 96-00 civic LX,DX,CX? or maybe a trade for an AEM v2 intake for an 01 civic LX coupe?

ho.. it may fit since they're both vertical throttle body..
u'll need to mod to make sure it fits though.. it may fit but might not be secure.. and the intake may be different too so ending up giving different gains.. if any at all.

Wow well I had a regular AEM and the stock intake pulls harder. How can you guys feel a few hp? Has anyone actually dynoed the V2? Cause it looks like any other intake to me.

You know I wanted to do a before and after dyno so bad just to squash this debate, but I am broke. I tell you you can feel a difference. Before I got it my friend was running two tenths faster then me in his 99 eclipse non turbo. We raced the night I put it on. I had a shitty start and bogged down. I was able to catch up to him and pull even. It would have never happened stock. The only way I kept beating him at the track was the fact that I was taking him off the line. He had a better ET but I would win unless i had a bad launch or he had a better one. 1320racing has an ex and swears by the V2 as well. So I say again, if your in the market for an intake get the V2!
