custom tail lights

custom tail lights
has any1 done anything custom to their tails to make them look different besides tinting them?
i've heard people say that u can take apart the OEM red lense n put the TYC clear lense over it. that seems like it'd look hott if u get some red bulbs in there.
i was thinking about tinted/painting the outter sides of the chrome tyc's (coupe) red, to give it the half red n half chrome type look.
any1 done n e thing different, original, or creative to their tails??

^ agreed. I'm terrible at poetry.
I was planning on painting some chrome aftermarkets I had black. Keep the cover clear, just paint the housing black. But some @sshole ran into my bumper and made a 2" hole in the light, so that's out the window. I think I'm just going to tink my stock ones when I get around to it.

You can get 'stick on' lids/ taillight covers. I dunno... I don't really like them
Some chick was busting on one of my mods a while back and was all "I'll be the last person to get one of those!" but she had these taillight covers on hers

Im going to be doing an LED retrofit... and maybe put a clear cover over the oem tails... Not to sure yet. Someone on this site did an LED retro but, IMO doesnt look right. Search "LED" in members ride, it will come up.
i do too. I wish I could do something like that, but the problem is: my car's red. I think really the best looking option is to tint them. The color of stock taillights is just too close to my car's paint.

Rep Power: 377 I had never seen that. THat came out damn nice man. Good idea. Yeah, it does remind of the Lancer lights....but also the older gen civic lights also. Good work.
