Detail supplies? Renting buffers?
Anyone know where i can rent a buffer?
Or anyone have one that would let me borrow theirs?
preferable one where you can switch out the foam pads.
Or atleast know of any detail supply shops?
I'm in van nuys so something close would be nice

K. Theres nothing like a handwax unless your car is ancient. I buffed my wrx when i first got it.. theni hand waxed it like couple weeks later cause i was unsatisfied.. no comparison, handwaxing IS THE way to go. I did a panel at a time, and you can see the hazy difference between adjacent panels. The buffer just doesnt give enough detail to the panel where as the hand you can massage it into the paint
Yeah! It was so easy to use at the Meguiar's meet, makes me really want to buy one... I was looking around and you can always buy one, this one is the Meguiar's one without the logo:
Porter-Cable 7424P 6" Variable-Speed Random-Orbit Polisher
search for it on amzazon, it's going for $124

That class gave me a complex. Every time I look at my car all I see are those freakin cobweb scratches.
I got lucky and convinced one of my coworkers to buy the meguiar's buffer.
I'll be workin that **** as soon as it gets here.

HAha, man that buffer was crazy! It was funny when people turned it on and their hand almost slipped, haha. Too much of that stuff can't be good for your hands. Why don't you just buy one for $200 w/ that lifetime warranty or something.
