tokico hp finally available!!
tokico hp finally available!!
according to the tokico website (tokicogasshocks.com) they are now stocking hp series shocks, front and rear, for the 01,02 civics! after years of waiting. i called them earlier today to ask whether or not they are inserts like the konis or full replacements like previous model years but was put on hold and then ended up having to leave a message for the tech guy who has yet to call me back. now i really don't want to bother the nice people over at tokico who have finally provided us with what i hope to be good replacement for my blown stock shocks, but i really need to know the specs on the parts. does anyone know?
anxiously awaiting a new set of shocks,
amar.

The blues have been available for about a month. The illuminas are the better ones and aren't available yet.

thank you Zzyzx you are always the voice of reason.....people say wait for the illuminas but why?! why pay more money for high performance struts when I know im only buying them cuz my neuspeeds dont wanna be stuck with blown honda struts....i want my car to look good and i wanna be able to ride comfortably ....i dont need an ajustable dampener....im not racing....so no one should be discouraged...sure u got a choice....but i was about to buy B&G's UNTIL these blues came out....now im not gonna spend 850 for a good ride (hayames are no good...ive tried them and they suck) but now im jus gonna put em on with my neuspeed springs and im set....yea finally the blues are out

The only negative thing I've heard about the Blues is that their only good for about a 1.5" drop. Any more then that and you risk the chance of them prematurely blowing. This is just what I've read at other places.

Is there any release date for the illumina yet? Hope these dont take as long as the blues did.
What is the difference between the blues and the illumina? Settings?

wellcome to last month
yes the blues are made more for comfort then preformance.
but are alot better than stock.
they ride better on a 1.0 - 1.7 drop anything lower than that and the ride is not quite as nice.

waiting to recieve em....lets see how it goes....got the neuspeed sport springs....running on 205/50/16 tires....its gonna be a lil diff but anything is better than that stupid 4 finger stock gap.
