ok... So, my car is an odd color, luckily i was able to find a set of rims that matched it. So.. From there I decided to have the calipers painted black. I guess my car is going more towards a Tan/Black scheme?
So, as usual I look at my car and go, wtf... What will annoy me next?
And there it was... The silver "H" on the front oem grill. That mother ****er... Silver... It was just ruining my Tan/Black scheme. Ive asked a lot of people if it was possible to get the ****ing "H" off so that I could paint it, some said yes, and some said no... The ones that said yes, didnt help at all
Well, What you have to do is take the front bumper off... And look behind the grill. There are 2 peg like things and on both of them, there is a silver clip that hold the "H" on. I just took a pliar and ripped the ****ing thing off.
Then, I was able to pull the "H" off. From there, I did 3 coats of black caliper paint, and 3 coats of clear coat.
Here is the result.

I did the rear "H" too but, u guys know how to take that off...

btw, excuse the mess, iam in the process of ripping one of the garages apart... Its so great to relieve yourself by taking a sledge hammer and wacking **** =]
IMHO- it looks like its missing now.... Im not feeling it.
The chrome did match ur scheme since you have a chrome polished lip on the rims...
I would go buy an altezza grille honestly..

Um well, it looks a bit strange. Why didn't you paint the box around the H? Almost looks like someone stole it. I agree the stock one doesn't match, but I don't know. Any closeup pics? If you can afford it, get the kaminari upper grill. It looks exactly like the coupe grill, but there's no spot for the H.

lol, its not "missing", its actually really shinny... Like, i didnt let the black paint dry (cause i have A.D.D.), and when i sprayed the clear coat some of the silver part shows... So, its like a REALLY shinny black. I think its an improvement.

The whole purpose of the HID Retrofit is to make my civic different than everyone elses... The TYCs look like OEM but black & with a projector. With the eyelid, and night time, it gets people confused. =]

if you have A.D.D. i give you credit for painting the entire thing before forgetting and walking off. i know i would've forgotten to do half of it, or put it back on or something. i have A.D.D. too.. hard to tell?
