Thumbs up Painted my rear drums

This was something that needed to be done a long time ago. Finally I got off my *** and decided to paint them.

I used Silver VHT Caliper paint that I got from Crappy Tire for 10 bux. Followed the directions on the can and I couldn't be more happy with the results.

I'll post more pics of the process later... here's a before and after pic.

On a side note... today myself, Big, and APRboy are going to paint our calipers. We'll do a DIY for anyone interested.

^ and just remember to tape off what you don't want painted, and garbage bags work well to cover the rest

just make sure you cover the car well enough so you don't get any paint on your car.

i did my 4 calipers with Dupri caliper painting kit (they are the one with brush so no need to mask anything)
i highly suggest that to anyone and u can buy a kit from crappy tire and do 4 cars easily
we did 2 cars (8 calipers in total) and there's still half a can of paint left

HAHA, well its not like I made it up. If you think it works for you, you should go for it.

As for a black car, you cant go wrong with red calipers but IMO you should paint the back drums black. They will stand out too much if they are red.

I used the Duplicolor kit from Newfie Speed and Custom (Canadian Tire) as well to do mine...put on three coats on calipers and drums...still had a ton left over and am very happy with the results...did it over a month ago and no chipping or flaking.
