How can i quiet my exhuast down for a short period of time?

I got a ticket and i am going to the courthouse tommorrow for the captain of the police to listen to it, is there anything i can stick in the muffler that they wouldnt be able to see to quiet it down for a few minutes while they listen to it?

Do you have a full catback? If not, I would attempt switching to the stock b-pipe so that you have the quiet stock resonator. That may or may not make a difference. I believe they have universal silencers that fit a 2.5 outlet. You might wanna try a muffler shop and ask. Better do it quick I think they close soon.

Reducing the outlet of the exhaust WILL reduce sound dB. The smaller you go, the more sound will be dampened. Sorry I can't give you specifics on how small to go and still have it driveable, but it does work.

Taking the intake off won't do much.
You can do one of 2 things...
Stuff it with steel wool, or get an exhaust turndown, clamp it onto the tip and point it at the ground.
2 tricks people do with race cars when there's dB limits.

If you knew anything about physics you wouldn't sound like such a retard... Reducing the diameter in piping will create a faster frequency, which will then produce a louder tone...Larger exhaust are more sound controlling, again if you had any type of experience with exhausts.

If you want to quiet up the exhaust, get a turbo.... best mufflers ever made.
