Need Wheel Repair Help
I'm looking at buying a set of rims, but one of them has a small 4" long chunk of the lip taken out. Can anyone estimate how much that'll cost to fix and/or where I can go? Also, anyone know a good place for Kumho's? Thanks.

what kind of rims? what size? usually its cheaper to buy a new rim than repair it. I got a quote to fix my 18s for $150 or something like that. For a little more you can get a brand new one.
kumho? what tire size... i just got some new tires and its hard to find a good deal, especially when you have to deal with mounting/balancing/disposal/tax/etc... www.tirerack.com can give you a good idea of what you might pay.

Unless you are getting a really good deal on these used and damaged rims, Id say try to go with new ones. Also, depends on how bad the "chunk" is becuase I took a "chunk" out of my old set of 18z and they said that it would be pretty hard to fix it, and if they were able to it would be a noticeable difference.

Thanks for the feedback guys. The rims are 16" Enkei's with brand new Kumho Ecsta 712s. He got into an accident on the way back home from having the tires put on. The one rim in question appears to still be round, and the tire still holds air but there are cuts in it. It's a friend of mine, so I'd figure I'd help us both out by taking these off his hands for a fair to both price, but after these replies I'm not sure it's worth it. I'd much prefer 15s anyways.

check out www.fixarim.com or do a search here. Some guy on here recently state that he had his rims powdercoated at 30 bucks each for flat black.
