Hey Nor Cal Peeps,

I need some advice on what kind of daily beater car to buy. I want to spend no more than $3,000 OTD. I want a car that has good gas mileage, and has low maintenance. I smell suggestions like a older Honda Civic. Thanks your helpful suggestions!

i dont know y u need a beater, u got a rsx to drive, it a rsx not a ferrari

I'd just use the RSX. It might be an Acura but it's still a Civic.

I don't see how an older Honda Civic could not be a daily beater. So many people on this site, so many people not on this site, as well as the age group who majorly purchase new Civics (35+) use their car as a daily beater. That's all it is... it's a grocery getter with potential instead of a "shiny **** with two chairs in it."

I don't see why you cant use your RSX as a daily driver?? I do with mines.

Don't get me wrong, I like using my RSX as a daily driver, but I also have to use it for work. I do not want my trunk getting all banged up with computers, monitors, printers, and all that other computer equipment. It will also help me lower my insurance rate if I have two cars registered under my name. Those are the two main reasons why I want a daily beater. Thanks.

best car on Earth hands down are Toyota and Honda becaus ethey are not going to leave you on the side of the road. But that bein said if you want to have a car you don't give a **** about and you know no one in the right mind would steal it or you wouldnt care if it had fat door dings get a used cop car, or a Ford Taurus. Tons of parts cheap parts available if you need to tune it up, and your insurance will be dirt cheap. I hate American Cars, but they are cheap as hell, but you get what you pay for. 1998 Ford Taurus on Yahoo for only $2,500 or best offer you know you can get that **** for like $1,800.
