I just notice something for 5 speed Civics with V2, the filter will very likely hit the clutch line. And can cause eventual wear through. ANd the bracket can break (5 speed or auto). I did a test with my brother on a hill. I was driving and had the hood open while he stood out on the street. On big load, the engine will move back about 3/4 of an inch but the intake will not... and eventually the bracket can just snap off... and that is what happened to me.

you cant bend the bracket, it's welded on to the intake pipe. You can try to not attach it... but then the intake will only held up by the throttle body area. I will do whatever AEM says. It is under warranty of the life of the car....... just a hassle to not have the car for a while.
