Just got my B&G coilovers...

So after countless broken promises, estimated time arrivals, and such for the hayames...i finally decided to cancel my order and upgrade to B&G...Thanks to Eddie (aka TrueHonda) for the great price and awesome customer service...

Now I was wondering if people could give me some helpful tips and warnings on installing them...

Should I install them or just go to a shop and fork out 100 bucks to free me of the hassle??

Okay i found this site with install pics...
he puts on lithium grease?? is this necessary?

also, when first installed...is it recommended not to slam it first, but rather let it settle at a higher height, then slam it to my liking?

Those are my pix. You don't need the grease. The clanking sound I had was because I forgot the upper strut bearing as Vinh posted.

For the ultimate B&G thread. Check here: Huge B&G Thread

After reading the huge B+G thread...Do the bearings have to come from a certain year...say 01 civic?? ( It does say 2002+ on that pic )
or do all years apply...

^^Okay so, its better to have the 01 upper mounts?? cuz the B+G was designed according the 2001 model...

Do 02+ bearings break or tear because of this?

use the grease. It conditions the bearings, keeps the noise away, and makes it easier to install.

I found that the guy used this tie rod seperator. [Picture from the site]
Is this the best method to lift up the tie rod? or is hammering it out better (as shown in Mex's spring DIY)?

The puller is safer. We actually had to heat mine with a heat gun until it came out.

100 bucks to have them installed? If thats the case go do it there. I installed these and i have exp. and it took me 4 hours with adjustment time. BTW, the seperator you want looks like a crow bar from autozone, not a puller. Youll also need a breaker bar about 24 inches long to break the nuts loose and retorque them down. Also, make sure you drive right to a shop and get a thrust alignment and camber /toe adjustment once you set it at the height you wont. If you dont, youll be sorry.

The puller worked fine for me and it dosn't damage the grease boot at all. It was $10 at the auto parts store.

Actually it's more of a bolt pusher than a gear puller.
