Cruising in second gear?

Cruising in second gear?
I like to cruise around sometimes in 2nd between 30-45, then gun it up to 60 70 sometimes. Its within the peak power range. The rpm's dont redline so I guess it's ok. The manual says you can use 2nd up to 60 mph!!
