Which spot in engine bay has cooler air?
I allways see SRI's opening behind the battery. I think with the resonator rmoved the gaping hole going strait off the throttle body and slightly down will yield lower temps. Any thoughts? The red dot is where i am looking, the yellow is the common area wheree it ends now. I was also thinkong of making a barrier attached to the battery housing (blue) to further isolate the hotter air.

why don't you make like all the CAI's ever made and go in front of the engine? they go up there for a reason, you know. you won't have cool air anywhere around that, period, unless you jack your car up a foot or so and have the intake filter hanging down below the engine in the open.
