No parts for the 2004 model?
Hello everyone,
I was just wondering; Are there any diferences as far as specs, space & compatibility between the 03 & 04 Civics under the hood? I just bought a new 2004 Civic LX but I can't find any parts out there on magazines, or the web(they all say 00-03 models). I looked at the pics of the both year models and they kind of look the same to me under the hood. Can anyone please tell me if by buying parts for the 03 model I'd gain the same HP and performance. thanks a lot in advance.
Mike.
ps: My car is a 04 Civic LX manual 1.7L.

the 04's have different bumpers, head and tail lights, and grills. All performance parts such as intakes and exhausts from 01+ should work on an 04. If it says 00+ then it's probably not for your car... just make sure it's 01+. With the simple intake, exhaust, header combo you're looknig at maybe 10 hp with a similar increase in high end torque... and there is no difference in how an 04 engine responds to these types of modifications... sorry man it's still gonna be a civic.

it always amazed me at how this question is asked atleast 2-3 times every week and no one knows how to use the search function
Gee man, thanks for your advice, but I'm new here, sorry to dissapoint your oblivious psych. I think it would have taken you less time to just say: use the search function for the parts. Right?

the 01-03 LX's have the D17A1... if your 04 LX has the same engine, then all engine parts for the 01-03 LX should work on your 04...
