Need Help: Vinyl installation

So I got the bright idea to try and install vinyl to replace the carpet in my trunk setup. I have a false floor built from 1/4" mdf. I've tried tacking the vinyl to the underside but I noticed that it needed some type of adhesive to keep it smooth. I tried usung Elmer's wet cement , all it did was make the vinyl bubble up instead of help smooth things out. to top it off, the wet cement didn't even stick!! Someone please help. How do I make this stuff stick to the mdf smoothly?

I checked out sounddomain.com, some of the installers suggested using a spray on adhesive. I'm going to the hardware store now to try this. Hopefully I will have everything ready by tonight and will post some pics.

good luck, I hate vinyling. if you have toomany curves to conform to, a blow dryer should help.

if its just a flat surface, youll be done before you know it!
