Heads up, on parking infractions
So last night a bunch of buddys and myself were hanging out at a friends place and playing some poker and drinkin some beers, And the responsible, law abiding citizen that I am decide I would stay over instead of risking anyone else's life or my own by driving home drunk. Now buddy lives in a duplex and can only fit 4 cars in his driveway, but there was 6 vehicles so 1 guy parked on the end of the drive way horizontally between the sidewalk and road, And I parked on the grass boulevard in front of my buddy between the side walk and road, (incase you didnt know in London you cant park on any city street between 3am and 5am, or block any sidewalk). So another friend wakes up at 6am to go home with his g/f and he see's that both me and the other guy parked between the sidewalk and road have tickets!!
Now they're only for 30$ each but what else were we supposed to do??? Drive home drunk?
Not go out? Park in the grocery store parking lot 5 mins down the road and risk my car gettin F'd with? I live out of town so I couldnt have taken a cab? and the thing is the ticket was written at 10:48pm. I could see MAYBE if it was between 3am and 5am.
So I guess you cant even park on your own drive way( between the sidewalk and road) or on the grass that you cut and pay taxes for.
So anyone in London I guess your better off driving home drunk instead of risking a parking ticket for trying to be responsible.
btw this happened on Deveron Cres. between pond mills and commisioners.
sorry this was so long I was just a little pissed about this ticket, not the money but the whole principal.

that sux, but the law is the law.... even if u didn't intend to break it, u still did.
i had it worst then u, my parkin permit for schools parkin lot fell off and they gave me a ticket cuz it wasn't visible on the front... i had to pay 200 something for the permit and fill out a bunch of forms and get tickets??? owell thats how it works

i got one recently and was like ah **** it ill just pay it, and a day after i pay it my bouy calls and tells me all i had to do was fill out some form or just tell someone i appeal and theyd send to a "judge" on the decision whod basically say, "gimme 15 and we'll call it even"
I wouldnt have minded the extra 15 in my pocket but ah well, not the end of the world.
BTW that is retarded, i know down here you can park in the lower end of the driveway. sorry to hear that, id be pissed too.

Bro that's fvcked up! I've parked my car overnight at my g/f's house on the little portion of her driveway inbetween the road and the sidewalk tons of times and never have gotten a ticket. That portion is considered a "driveway" and you shouldn't have gotten a ticket for that as long as you weren't obstructing the sidewalk.
I can guarantee you that if you took that to court and explain to them why you parked there (the whole not wanting to drink and drive), they would drop the ticket.
