7thGenerasiancivic agreed to buy my amp/sub for $120 picked up. so we agree to meet today after work @ 6pm at the glendale galleria. so i bring a friend along w/ me, and i planned to get my exhaust installed today but we thought we may hit traffic so i skipped that to meet up w/ this guy early.. so it's around 5:40 and we're close to getting there, and I call him and he says his car is in the shop and he'll need an additional hour before he'll be there, so I'm like wtf, why don't you call me ahead of time and tell me you're going to the shop before i make my trip from the far north side of the SFV to glendale. I thought that in my head.. didn't tell him. So my friend and I just decide to grab a bite to eat.. it's approaching 6:00 - 6:15 and so I call him to check up.. no answer.. call again... no answer.. we chill for a bit longer.. 6:45 (no answer again) we even wait til 7:15 and still no answer.. so at this point we're like WTF.. where is this guy.. so we just head out from there, and I wasted all this fVcking gas in DEEP rush hour traffic for no reason.. and guess what? he sends a text message saying hes stuck in traffic.. at around 8 something.. 1) why not call me and tell me that .. 2) why would you wait til now (waaaaay past our pre-arranged meeting time) to call me and let me know you're on your way.. and even 'til now.. 12:17 am, not one phone call or even a text message as to why the flaking out..

This is completely uncalled for, and even my friend is pissed at you too

he tried calling you, but couldnt get through. so since it worked before, he text you, which wasnt at 8. he called again, still couldnt get through. i even tried calling you for him. still couldnt get through. we used total, three different phones dude. are you having probs with your phone? because seriously he was trying to call you to let you know. but how is he suppose to do that if you couldnt be reached. honest truth.

he had the money ready and everything. it wasnt a matter of flaking. he got his car back a little past your arranged time and tried calling to let you know, but never got through.

Eh me and my friend were sitting by my phone the whole time. Maybe you got the wrong number. Why didn't you pick up when I called? I called several times. Hell, if texting worked, why didn't you text me about 1) Taking the car to the shop AT the time we're supposed to MEET. 2) you were trying to "Call me" and i wasn't "picking up" and 3)when you supposedly got to the meeting place, why no text "where are you"? uh if youre referring to 7thgen, im not him, and im a girl btw.

he didnt get any calls from you. hes been wanting to buy the system off of you since you first annoucned it. seriously, i dont know if there is a prob with your phone and you dont know it or what, but he was tryint to call you, and since you didnt even get his text until 8, says that texting isnt gonna do much to benefit him anyways. he was waiting for a reply by text. and didnt get one.

he wanted to make sure that you would show up, thats why he tried calling before heading out, he was on his way and calling you at the same time and the calls didnt go through.

i tried calling your phone from my cell and my workplace too, he thought it was his phone, but when i tried, two diff phones, shiet never went through, there wasnt even any ringing, and even when there was, a msg would say, sorry the caller you are trying to reach is not available.

this is probably just one big misunderstanding, you might have to talk to him directly about it, but if you ask other people that he has bought stuff off of, they'll probably tell you that hes not one to flake. and if he cant make it, he'll tell you that he cant.

Again, refer to the statement I made above ^^ We were to meet at 6PM at the Glendale Galleria PERIOD. NO excuses. I talked to him on the PHONE on my way over there, and he goes "my car is in the shop, i'll be another hour" WTF was he doing AT the shop 20 min before we have to meet, and why tell me to wait an hour!? That was the only time i actually talked one on one w/ him.

i would be pissed too if i were to wait almost 3hrs past the meeting time. "SUPPOSEDLY" u guys called each other back and foward. but cell phones aren't exactly fool proof, dropped calls happen all the time. We can say that we called each other but do we know for a fact that the call went through? Things happen and there isn't anything that anyone can do about it. The only thing that u guys can do now is kiss and make up. PM each other and patch things up to see if the deal is still on. If not then drop it.

you guys should never in the first place meet some where and a time when its going to be during rush hour or s friday night, every one knows there is really bad traffic, so you should have both meet later that night to avoid traffic or early sat or sunday morning...

and you guys and pm each other, there is no need for this. there was a mistake, live with it, past is past present is now, you guys both have lots of time to argue, why don't you guys just meet up now while everone is getting over their hang overs.

I get off at 5 but yesturday I got off at 6 something. It takes roughly 1hr for me to drive to Glendale. Cell phones are a means of communication. If I'm having troubles getting there then I need to let you know. But your piece of **** does not work!

Hrmm Simple solution would be that 7thgeneration drive down to Mango and buy the item because afterall Mango was at the agreed location and 7thgen was not. Things happen and 7thgeneration was not able to make it there. If i was in 7thgen shoes and wanted that item, I would just drive down to Mango to make it up for lost time eventhought its not 7thgen fault. The fact to the matter is that Mango was there and 7thgen was not. ****Keep in mind, I dont' know neither of you****

Werll here is my word on all this. STFU AND GET ALONG, ha ha jp... no seriously guys. I understand Mangos Arguements and I understand Alans. I will say this straight. Cell phones or not, when someone makes and appointment with me i expect them to be there regardless. My time is valuable and i hate it when people waste my time. It was Alans obligation to be at the said place at the said time. I think people become WAY to reliant on cell phones now-a-day and they are more unreliable than anything. Alan, your a homie, but it was your responsibility to be at the said place at the said time. You should have been respsonsible enought to tell the mechanic at your work that you MUST be out the door by the time you are off. Had this been say a Job interview or a chance to win a Million Dollars, You would have been there. Quit arguing that its Mangos Fault because his phone was not working, that arguement is just an excuse. "Success finds a way, Failure finds an excuse." Whether alan had the money or not does not justify this in any way. Alan, this is your bad, period.
