I don't know much about the kamikaze headers but I heard that there is no modifications for them. I know that obx headers have modifications. sorry if I didn't help you out.

I got a new gasket to be safe. But you probably won't be able to get the bolts off. I tried with all my strength and broke my first socket. Got a new one and rounded off the bolts. Good luck.

The one thing I found was, the OEM header has the nuts welded to it. So when you take it off, you dont have anything to bolt the aftermarket header to the downpipe/cat with the existing bolts. At least I didnt anyway. I had to go to the hardware store and buy some nuts and washers that fit the spring bolts (??....sorry I dont really know what they're called). It looks kinda janky, but it works for now. I wanna find something more permanent or proper.

Am I the only one that found this? I wonder why the aftermarket headers dont have the nut welded to the flange like the OEM. ??

Well I couldn't get anything off. So I don't know. I don't remember other members having this problem. So do I need to get new bolts for the bottom springs? What about the top ones?

I used the same old bolts and gasket. Take the old header out and put the new one in. My friend installed mine and it looked very simple.

I used the same bolts and gasket(s). Its the NUTS that I needed. The bolts have to thread into something. The OEM header had the nuts welded to it so you only had to worry about loosening/tightening the bolts themselves. The aftermarket header (Kamikaze) that I have, came with no hardware for the bolts to tighten to. Hence the reason why I had to go buy nuts/washers so I could tighten everything up.

The screws that hold the stock header to the exhaust are threaded on the header itself, no nuts. So you'll need to go to the store and get some heavy duty washers and a nut that fits the original bolt. You can use all the old gaskets, you may need to shave off a little from the stock gasket to make it fit on the Kamikaze. Other than that it's just bolt on . . . you'll also need a MIL eliminator or an 02 sensor to get rid of the CEL.

Does the Kamikaze Header for the EX manual come with the cat or is it just the header?
